Tara Frye

Tara Frye is the owner and director of Emotion In Motion Dance Center in Middletown, NJ. While building her studio over the last 16 years, Tara has still found ways to continue to pursue her love of performing. In her younger years she performed in countless regional theatre productions, has worked for Elite Entertainment as a wedding vocalist, performed with the professional touring company- Yates Musical Theatre for Children and has been a featured vocalist for several fundraising events with Broadway for Arts Education (BAE) – a nonprofit organization that partners with Broadway professionals and teaching artists to provide arts education to underserved youth in NYC and globally. Somewhere in between all that, Tara is also the resident musical choreographer at Shore Regional High School which has earned her 5 Count Basie Award nominations, married a wonderful man, and is mom to their two beautiful children.

While Tara has performed sporadically through the years, jumping into the Applaud Our Kids Foundation Soiree and Talent Competition as a dance soloist is something that she never dreamed of at this point in her life. She is just as excited as she is terrified but knows that her performance along with all of the other contestants only helps to strengthen AOK’s mission of providing arts education to all children regardless of financial barriers or abilities.
